Introduction

Welcome to what is, as far as I know, the only web site on the Internet dedicated to passionate poet/professor Patrick Thornhart, the iconic One Life to Live character whose fame and influence continued for years after his portrayer Thorsten Kaye left the role.

Although Thorsten went on to create other inimitable characters, Patrick Thornhart will always hold a very special place in my heart.

Web Site History

The content of this web site, first published online on January 26, 1997, essentially consists of articles written by me for a quarterly hard-copy newsletter that the poetry, romanticism, and Irish heritage of Patrick inspired me to create at the beginning of 1996, entitled The Patrick Papers (the name was chosen in homage to Charle Dickens' The Pickwick Papers, one of my favorite books) . Also included are some welcome outside contributions.

Since this material relfected then-current events, both on and offscreen, they are not guaranteed to make sense to anyone but me. Nevertheless, you are invited you to leaf through the "papers" herein if you wish to learn more about the impressive professor from a very personal if idiosyncratic perspective.

Thank you for visiting - and you're welcome to return for a refresher course at any time.

Disclaimer

The Patrick Papers is only intended as a personal tribute to a fictional charater, and is not associated with One Life to Live, ABC-TV, the Walt Disney Co., etc.
